Q&A PANEL
Wendy Walker is a former business owner now studying cyber security at St. Phillips College. She started going blind at age 18 and is now the
president of the San Antonio Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind. She sits on the board of the National Federation of the Blind of Texas and is the co-chair of the San Antonio White Cane Awareness Day Committee.
Jose Martinez is currently the recruiter at the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind. He serves on the Disability Access Advisory committee representing district 9. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in public relations from Texas State University. His passions include advocating for the blind, helping people, and playing music.
Aubri Simpson is the Executive Director of Manifest Academy, where children receive the educational support necessary to reach their academic goals. It offers parent training, staff training about inclusion environments when it comes to early childhood education. Mrs. Simpson is married to her husband Toni Simpson for 9 years and together they have 3 beautiful children. Niyel (11) with SOD, Jonathan (7) and Zechary (4).
Donations made at tonight’s event will go toward future collaborative projects between UTSA School of Architecture and Planning, disABILITYsa, and the AIA…making events like tonight’s program possible.
