DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & OUTREACH
Full-Time, Exempt | PTO & Health Benefits | Range: $50,000 - $55,000
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Director of Development & Outreach serves as an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting disABILITYsa. In partnership with the ED and Director of Operations, this position is responsible for the design, planning, and execution of all fundraising, development, and outreach activities for the organization. The Director of Development & Outreach will forge new relationships to build disABILITYsa’s visibility, impact, in-kind, and financial resources. The Director of Development & Outreach will also design and implement a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating individual and philanthropic support.
The Director of Development & Outreach will have the primary responsibility for establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow a $300,000 annual budget through the solicitation of individual donations, major gifts, government grants, special events, and corporate and foundation support. The Director of Development & Outreach will foster and promote a Culture of Giving throughout the organization among Board members, staff, interns, volunteers, partner agencies, the individuals we serve, and the local community.
The Director of Development & Outreach will expand and diversify disABILITYsa’s donor base/pipeline and work closely with other team members to secure funding for new initiatives. In addition, the Director of Development & Outreach will work closely with the board of directors and support board members as they actively participate in their fundraising role. It is expected that the amount raised annually will increase each year as the Director of Development & Outreach systematically and effectively strengthens the organization's overall fundraising capacity.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

With our mission and these values in mind, the role of Program Director will be primarily to offer initiative, leadership, and supports for the planning, implementation, recruitment, and reporting of comprehensive programs at disABILITYsa. This position will be responsible for the daily program management, volunteer recruitment and management, participant recruitment and outreach, and logistics for the education, engagement, and advancement programs at disABILITYsa.
This position requires a person who is anticipatory, resourceful, takes initiative, and demonstrates excellent follow-through. The successful candidate will demonstrate confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact when proactively dealing with situations, and solving problems. Candidate must be comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritization with close attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness. This person must present a professional demeanor at all times. The ideal candidate will bring a professional, collaborative, and multitasking demeanor into the role where working with confidential information is managed. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful thinker able to anticipate obstacles, creatively unravel them, and take proactive steps, that reflect the organization’s values, to manage circumstances with minimal supervision.
