The mission of disABILITYsa is to educate, advance, and engage individuals with disabilities by sharing information, creating opportunities, and strengthening organizations that serve them.

MELANIE R. CAWTHON
Co-Founder & Executive Director, Melanie Cawthon, started working on disABILITYsa in 2007 along with her fellow co-founders Cynthia Hamilton and Janet Grojean as a collaborative effort to support individuals living with disabilities in the San Antonio community. Melanie has over 19 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with 14 of those working for organizations serving individuals with disabilities. Melanie has her Bachelors of Business from UTSA and her Master's in Nonprofit Management from OLLU. Melanie lead the organization through the process of incorporating and becoming a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 2016. Contact Us.

ANNA L. WIMBERLEY
Anna Wimberley joins disABILITYsa as the Director of Operations after spending 10 years in the Home Health and Hospice industry. Anna has always had a passion for working in the nonprofit section and serving the community around her. Anna has her Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin with a major in Marketing and minor in Communication Studies. Contact Us.

BRITTANY N. EWING
Brittany has been serving as a professional fundraiser in the nonprofit sector for over 10 years, and working for organizations focused on individuals with disabilities and special populations for the past 4 years. Raised in the Dallas area, Brittany has her Bachelor of Arts and Applied Sciences in Nonprofit Management from the University of North Texas and is currently working on her Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management at the University of Houston Downtown. She has been in the San Antonio area for almost 4 years and has enjoyed learning about and immersing herself in the rich and unique culture. Brittany is happily married and is the proud mother of an amazing wheelchair basketball athlete and she finds the greatest fulfillment in knowing that her work is helping to raise awareness, equality, inclusion, and benefiting the greater good.
