Providing San Antonio Events & Festivals some resources to help engage people with disabilities in community celebrations and once we have them out in community, helping them to remain in community.
disABILITYsa offers “How To Include People with Disabilities in Your Events” workshop/presentation and helps with consultation on disability‐friendly inclusive ideas. Inclusion resources are made available for rent/hire to San Antonio businesses and organizations.

Dream Night at the San Antonio Zoo
Join disABILITYsa for the annual Dream Night at the San Antonio Zoo on Saturday, November 9th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Dream Night is an annual event hosted by San Antonio Zoo, dedicated to celebrating children with diverse health needs and their families.
As a guest you can expect:
● Free Access to Zoo Grounds
● An Inclusive Experience
● Free Food
● Free Educational Activities
● Free Live Music & Entertainment
● & so much more!
Inclusive experience options include: ASL Interpreters on location, ASL Interpreted/ Descriptive audio options for zoo animal exhibits, Universal Changing spaces, Sensory Management options via sensory kits and sensory escape room, and tactile material experience for select animals.
disABILITYsa has 100 slots for this program. Families are limited to a maximum of 5 admissions.
REGISTRATION OPENS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH AT 8:00 AM.

Family Saturday at The Contemporary at Blue Star
Explore the Contemporary’s exhibitions with free hands-on activities on Saturday, August 12th from 1 pm to 4 pm at The Contemporary at the Blue Star (116 Blue Star, San Antonio TX, 78204).
Families and kids of all ages are invited to attend the Contemporary’s Family Saturday event featuring "Actions for the Earth: Art, Care & Ecology" on exhibit through Sunday, Sep 3, 2023. This event focuses on our current exhibitions and brings together local artists and community organizations to offer creative activities. Works on view become the inspiration for art making and kids learn how to look at and understand contemporary art better through fun activities.

Inclusion Saturday at The Botanical Gardens
We had so much fun at the Botanical Garden with you! We brought out our Inclusion Units, QR codes with audio descriptions, ASL interpreters and adaptive crafting supplies for an inclusive day at the Garden.
