RESOURCE NAVIGATION

Connecting individuals with resources within the community is an ongoing mission for disABILITYsa. We aim to educate San Antonio residents to ensure they are aware of what resources and opportunities are available to them. When we are approached by someone in need, we strive to connect them to services, even if we do not personally offer them. The intention is to reduce some frustration by assisting in research and personally connecting them with an organization that we believe can provide them the help they need.

DIGITAL NAVIGATION

​​Digital Navigations is a digital support program designed to support people with disabilities in the greater San Antonio area to navigate the online world with greater confidence and independence.​ Through accessible, friendly learning environments, the program offers multiple guided workshops and digital literacy sessions where participants can explore essential digital skills — from accessing healthcare and government services online to using personal devices and internet tools safely.

​Digital Navigation Programming at disABILITYsa helps bridge the digital divide by making technology more approachable, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to stay informed, connected, and engaged in an increasingly digital world.

Open lab hours are offered at the disABILITYsa offices: 
  • 1st Mondays (3pm - 6pm) includes in-office access to laptops, tablets, and the internet with some adaptive accessories along with one-on-one support for everyday tech tasks.
  • 1st & 3rd Fridays (9am - 1pm) of each month  includes in-office access to laptops, tablets, and the internet with some adaptive accessories.
​Whether attending a focused session on digital security or dropping in for personalized help, participants are met with patience, respect, and encouragement.

This collection of interactive workshops is designed to empower and educate individuals with disabilities – and those who support them – in navigating online spaces confidently and safely. Each session focuses on building your digital skills and connecting you to valuable resources.
