FREE Information Workshop!Seizure Recognition &Response TrainingParticipants will learn:· The impact of seizures on cognition and behavior.· How to recognize the most common seizure types· Simple strategies for creating a more positive and supportive environment.· Appropriate first aid for common seizure types.· Steps you can take to help maximize educational and developmental opportunities for persons with seizures.Training Objectives:· Recognize common seizure types and their possible impact· Identify Seizure Triggers· Learn Appropriate First Aid· Recognize when a seizure is an emergency· Provide social and academic support· Treatments for Epilepsy including Ketogenic Diet, VNS, Surgery, and Medications· Seizure Action Plans· Seizure first aid in water, on a school bus, and in a wheelchair. Parents and caregivers are welcome.
